Who we are
This policy explains how Grabemeyer Consulting LLC ("we," "us") handles personal information collected through grabemeyer.com and related services. We are a small business based in Chicago, Illinois. We keep this simple: we collect what we need to run the site, sell our products, and do our consulting work.
What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email, company, and the message you send.
- Readiness Check. Your answers and your email address, so we can send your results.
- Sample pack signups. Your email address and any details you choose to give.
- Newsletter. Your name and email address.
- Orders. Name, email, billing details, and order information, handled through Squarespace Commerce. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Booking. Name, email, and any notes you add when you book a call through our Google Calendar appointment pages.
- Consulting correspondence. Emails, documents, and notes exchanged when we discuss or perform consulting work.
- Technical data. Browser type, device, pages viewed, approximate location, and referral source, collected through cookies and analytics.
How we use it
- To respond to your questions and book calls.
- To deliver your purchases, provide download access, send receipts, and offer support.
- To send your Readiness Check results and requested sample packs.
- To send newsletters and marketing emails when you have asked for them.
- To perform and manage consulting services.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud, keep records, and meet legal obligations.
In plain terms, we use your information because you asked us to (for example, you submitted a form or bought a product), because it is needed to run our business in ways you would reasonably expect, because the law requires it, or because you gave consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Email marketing
We use Mailchimp, a service of Intuit, to send newsletters and marketing emails. We only add you to our list if you opt in, for example through the newsletter form, a sample pack signup, or the Readiness Check checkbox. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us at andi@grabemeyer.com. We may still send transactional messages, such as receipts and download links, after you unsubscribe.
Analytics and cookies
We use Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. These tools use cookies and similar technologies. Squarespace also uses cookies to run the site and the store. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner on our site, and you can change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Google offers an opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We may also use Google Search Console, which reports on search performance without identifying individual visitors to us.
Service providers
We share information with companies that help us operate, only as needed for their service:
- Squarespace: website hosting, store, checkout, forms, and site analytics.
- Stripe and PayPal: payment processing.
- Mailchimp (Intuit): email delivery and list management.
- Google: Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Calendar appointment pages, and email.
These providers have their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a business sale or transfer.
No sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for third-party advertising purposes beyond the standard analytics tools described above.
Retention
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Order and tax records are kept as required by law. Email list data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Consulting files are kept for the length of the engagement and a reasonable period after, unless the client agreement says otherwise.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, such as access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our site and products are for businesses and adults. We do not target children under 13 and do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also opt out of marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, laws such as those in California and some other states may give you additional rights, such as access to a copy of your information, correction, deletion, and not being discriminated against for exercising your rights. These rights apply where applicable. To make a request, email andi@grabemeyer.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we may keep information we are legally required to keep.
International visitors
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you visit from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date and version appear at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will update the date and, where appropriate, notify you.
